Meet the Principal
Dear Meadowbrook Elementary Families,
I am thrilled to welcome the start of another school year and am looking forward to establishing connections with our new families while reconnecting with those returning. Building strong relationships is a top priority for me, and I will strive to provide a safe and caring environment for all staff, students and families.
Our students have a unique opportunity to learn and grow beside others from around the world. Students at Meadowbrook Elementary come from diverse backgrounds where over 24 different languages are spoken in the home. Our school proudly supports and embraces diversity and belonging to promote inclusivity.
Our school is also identified as a Title I Targeted Assistance building. Approximately 48% of our students are eligible for free and reduced lunch. As a result, our school receives additional funding to provide educational services designed to increase student achievement. We provide reading intervention programs through our Reading Recovery teachers and small Literacy Groups, and have two Literacy Interventionists to support individualized instruction. In addition, we are blessed to have a Behavior Interventionist and Social Worker to help support the needs of our students and families.
As a staff, we strive to support the whole child through character education and meet the needs of each individual student. Our staff is wholeheartedly committed and dedicated to the success of all students.
I am so very proud to serve as your leader and am grateful for the support of all our families. Together, we're better! Please do not hesitate to reach out anytime.
As always, it’s a GREAT day to be a Meadowbrook Mustang!
